Last sunday an hour before it got dark a spotted a roe buck at about 320yds in a wheat field, I know this is not a long shot for you guys but in the U.K it's a long shot as most shot's are around the 100yd mark. There was no chance of getting closer, so i made myself comfortable and took the shot. It went about 10yds then went down, i waited about 30mins then went to get it, in this time it had got dark. I looked for about 45mins but to no avail, went back the next day after work and found it within 5mins, It was about 50yds from where i'd looked the day before. A nice six pointer roe buck :D

Thanks for sharing the story. I have hunted roe deer in Germany numerous times and it's good fun. 320yards is not a short range shot, no matter who you are.
