I shoot hundreds of chucks every spring across SE Idaho. Farmers REALLY appreciate it. Have a pair of bolt action 223s that shoot 1/4 moa and just finished building a 25-06 for chucks past 500 yards. Unfortunately, no g-kids to take along.

My two sons and I will sit and BS about the times they went rock chuck and picket pen shooting with pops who has passed and it brings a tear to my eye writing this and thinking of the fun all three of us had with him dam I miss him. Take your grandkids as often as possible they will remember it forever,

It's taken a few years but I think we have managed to rid the farm of all the groundhogs. Of coarse I say that every year and I'm usually proven wrong In the spring lol.
