Robert Hart and Sons Short Action 300 weatheby For sale 2500 OBO
For sale is a Robert Hart And Sons 300 Weatherby short action custom built by Mr Hadley of Glasgow Ky. This rifle has a unknown round count. It will still hammer as proven by the group pick included. I have owned it about 9 years and I have shot it less than 100 times. It started its life weighing over 50 pounds. I have slimmed it down by changing the bedding block to aluminum and mounting the barreled action in a stockade rifle works stock. I also built a bipod for it from aluminum that is adjustable for both cant and height. The action is smoother than rubbing two ice cubes together. I don't know what trigger is in it but assume it is a jewell. The new 30 cal bullets were not around when I was playing with it so I shot 240 smks. It will shoot a long ways with them and a lot farther with the new stuff. I don't know what the twist is but it must be at least a 10 because it will stabilize the 240s just fine. I bought the rifle from his widow and DONOT KNOW ROUND COUNT. I'm asking 2500 or best offer. This would be a fantastic long range hunting gun or fun fclass open gun. Recoil is very low due to the 28lb weight ( no scope). $2500 or best offer
