270 mri Krieger 24 bbl 1/10 tw . out side temp was 65 degrees pitted RL23 against RL22 , bullet was 150 sst max load rl23 tmv=3060 rl22 max tmv=2940 that's 100 fps mor with rl23 ,everything being the same even powder charges brass was r-p , primer wlr. next bullet same rifle was 145 eld/x same two powders again ,same everything as close as I could weight everything on my digital scale ,col same .25 thou off again rl 23 beat rl22 by 79 ftps still very impressive ... last test lightest brass r-p again same bullet and everything but+ .5 grains higher powder MAX charge and longer col .74 thou.tmv=3135 fps which beat the first 145 eld/x test by 51 fps . all TMV were done using an Oehler 35p . by no means am I running rl22 down its a Steller performer in many many calibers .
