Hello fellow enthusiasts.

I just ordered a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-20x40 1/4" moa dot going on a solid egw picatinny rail on a Remington 700 sps varmint. I am wanting to get the scope as close to the barrel as possible. I am going with the burris tactical or the signatures.

Can anyone tell me which height would be right? Low or Medium?

Thanks guys and I look forward to hearing your responses.

sweetglide, welcome.

Hope this is helpful. Go to Midway USA website. Go to bottom of page, click on "site map" go down under "knowledge center" click on "application charts & info" then click on "ring height" Your scope , Elite 4200, all I can find is 6-"24"x40, if that's right has an objective diameter of 52.37mm according to "tech info".
With a 30mm tube the chart says you need ring height of .300 inches.
With TPS rings this would be "low"
I believe you need a minimum of 1/16 inch between scope bell and barrel.
Look at Midway and I think you'll figure it out for whatever rings you choose.

Good luck, Kevin

Yeah, Duh, there you said it , Burris Tactical. I'm slow, but I'm catching up:cool: After a little more looking, I think I'm wrong. That scope may have a 1inch tube.
