This is a great brown bear, moose, grizzly, elk, and north country gun but it is also suited for any high mountain hunting where you want and need a light weight rifle that is capable of multiple shot distances. The 340 Weatherby is a ballistic counterpart of the 338 Lapua and 338 RUM. It shoots extremely flat and has a lot of downrange energy. Perfectly suited for 210 to 250 grain bullets.
