You did an excellent job on your first Savage. It was well thought out and you asked questions and worked your plan along the way. It's just the beginning.... they need to make a patch for this, you know like the kind you use to quit smoking...:D

That wouldn't be any fun. One accurate rifle just won't do.
 
Got a chance to test at 2 and 300 yards. Ran a total of 42 rounds down the pipe yesterday. 39.6gr is still showing the most promise with a 300 yard group at 1.1". The winds weren't helping me at all as it was coming straight in my face switching from 8oclock to 4oclock. 42.2gr also showed some promise with three of the five shots just under an inch at 300. I think I'll be happy with either load.
