REVIC BR4 VS LEICA 2800.com or 3500.com

Does the Leica 2800.com do the same as BR4 ? I know you can program the BR4 from your phone and at that point it's a stand alone unit witch is great. But from what I can reed on the .com is there is always a Kestrel next to it. I would not think the 2 units would need to work together or would they ?

I don't know much about the 2800 but am okay with my BR4 .
