My LSA-55 heavy barrel in 22-250 seems to be shot out, I only have about .2 of neck touching the 50 g sierras when I push them to the lands. Gives me a chance to rebarrel it to a more potent caliber. The magazine is very long, so I know I can put a 6.5-284 in it. I'd like to go for a longer range cartridge that will fit in a SA tikka. MY thought is a bullet in the .650 BC range travelling 3000-3200 or so. Any suggestions? Bolt face is for 22-250, so that will be an issue.6.5-284 AI? something with a 308 parent case? I'm lost on this one.

Is it the Tikka 595? The 22-250 magazine will feed it fine.

If so, go with a 6BR. No questions asked! Or improved if thats your thing.

A 1-8 twist will shoot 55grain BT at 3800fps, and 105 grains at 2950, even more with the improved.
