after all that asking questions and reading the different answers I ended up with a 15" pro hunter in 22/250 barrel. my question who makes the best handgun rest for sighting in a pistol.

I built this rest several years ago using a Midway brand (Caldwell) front rest. I constructed a simple frame that allows the rest to be adjusted for different pistols.

I use this rest mainly for load development, for which it works great. I use a set of Bull Bags to do my actual sighting in as the POI is affected by the pistol grip making contact with the rear sandbag.
