For sale is an extremely nice condition Remington 700 Mtn rifle in the excellent .280 Rem caliber
Rifle is in super condition as the pictures show Why for sale? I had been looking for same rifle in .270 (I'm a .270 guy) Ran across this rifle and thought I'd be happy with it My son has several rifles in .280 and .280 Ackley so easy access to brass, bullets dies etc. Rifle shoots excellent with the dozen or so rounds of 140gr Accubonds behind IMR4831 we put thru it But my .270 addiction won....

Sale is for rifle and scope mounts only. Not interested in trades
$1200 plus actual shipping cost to your FFL
Thanks LLR

Rifle's stock has some awesome grain patterns. Bolt handle has the classic plumb coloring as the older Rems did
Trigger is crisp and predictable.
I have (3) new old stock bags of Winchester blue-bag .280 nickel brass for extra $$ as well if the buyer needs some. Not for sale until rifle is sold first.
Thanks LLR

That is one of two guns I regret selling. I would be all over this like white on rice if I didn't just buy a 280AI earlier this month. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the comments guys Appreciate it It is a super nice rifle
My father bought me a Rem 700 in .270 in 1978 He was a huge Jack O'Conner follower in his younger years and lived his "dream" hunts thru his stories I still have that rifle And he and it have cemented me as a 270 guy...... Sentimental reasons will do that to a person!

Yeppers! That's a tempting one though.

So....why not just rebarrel that rifle with an identical noodle barrel 270....
Keep it lightweight...shorter 22" barrel..
New trigger......
I've had a few.....

26R
Because......
These rifles were special built and a great idea by Remington It's only original once, like a 6 pac Cuda' or hemi Road Runner You can build a street rod any way you want and it is what it is a bunch of parts the way one man wanted it....
To each his own is my motto!
