What can you tell me about the ""Remington 788"" 223, 22 250, 243, 308,I was looking to buy one But, I would like to know more about the 788.WHAT DO YOU THANK ABOUT THE REM 788
If you are in the market for a economical starter rifle they are hard to beat. Easy to use and DEADLY accurate. I have owned 3. Only shot 2 of them and they were both 1/2 mile rifles. One was .243 and the other was 308.
788's are great little rifles. There are tricks to the triggers, which help a lot. All of them that I have owned or shot were very accurate. They were intended to be an economical rifle and many of the "shortcuts" they took lead to better accuracy, such as the small ejection port. Less machining, but resulted in a stiff action. Buy one, you wil be happy with it.
