*This is an early mountain rifle with the hinged floor plate...December 1985 manufacture date based on barrel code.

Curious on the rifle.....the bolt handle knob....not the original bolt?
The others I have are checkered top and bottom of the knob...and discolored...

The bolt handle knob is original. I thought it was curious also and have found pictures on the internet of other 700 mountain rifles of the same vintage with the same bolt knob.

Bummer....i like that style rifle....but I like the discolored version and checkering....
I think I have seen that style before also.....just been a long time....
