Remington 700 Classic .270 Win caliber. 1978 build. Rifle had been hunted and stock has beauty marks but not abused or shot much as the bolt handle knurling, muzzle and bolt face show. Don't see many of these in .270

22" and the barrel contour on the classics were similar to the ADL with no provisions for iron sights (clean barrel) and the stocks were unique to the Classic rifle line with a straight comb hinged floor plate and the unique brownish red recoil pad.
I have several in different calibers and all are great shooters. They certainly got the build on their right and also the Mountain Rifles!

I have that exact gun, one of the most accurate I have ever owned. My son shot it to 880 yards with Leupold 3.5x10x50. Has an extraordinarily good factory trigger. I was thinking they were 1984 year models, may be wrong. One of the few I will never sell.

Thanks for the note. The first 3 years, from what I've read the .270 Classic was 1978, then the 30-06 and then 7mm Rem mag. In 1981 Remington officially cataloged the Classic series with a unique caliber every year thru 2005 the last year
They certainly got them right design and build wise!

I have one in 220 Swift I believe it's the 1992 classic. Super accurate and great handling for coyotes!
