Any idea on the number of rounds through the barrel and what the headspace was set at ?

Less than 100 total since build for sure
Do not as I didn't build it but it was a competent smith from what I know and should be to SAAMI spec

Thanks for the interest

Do you know how many rounds the barrel had on it before it was rebarreled.

There exists no Varmint Special barrel in 222 Rem that is old enough to be worn out.

My ancient 722 has 3000+ down the tube and shoots better than when it was new thanks to improved components.

No. not exact round count but the original owner said the bluing was so nice that it appeared to be very low round count
The original stocks super nice condition which is included is an indication of that minimal usage

Thank you for the question!
Have a great weekend all

Anyone who wants to sell any guns anywhere should invest in an Amazon bore scope so the description can include throat and bore photos.

Unless you were trying to sell this (chuckle)
