rem 721 trigger help

Can anyone help me with the best way to get a jewel trigger to fit in a 721, and do you need to use the old bolt release plate on the new trigger?
I was going to grind out the front pin slot in the receiver to get the sleeve on the jewel to fit, but thought i better check with the experts before i really screw things up....Thanks...Pat

The only modification, that you should need to do, would be to file the rear tang relief for the Jewell safety lever.

I didn't do anything to mine.
The only difference that I remember was how the spring under the bolt release is different. The 700 has a spring that fits around the pin and the 721 has a tiny spring that fits under the rear of the bolt release lever.
