rem 700p .338 lapua

I have a remington 700p .338 lapua. I have a sticky bolt after shooting factory rounds. What would be the cause of this?

dont quote me but maybe and improperly cut chamber or something is binding the bolt. Im sure one of the smiths will be able to give you a difinitive awnser. Does it only do it when fired?

Yes sir, it only does it when fired. I just bought some blackhills 300 gr and they have been the worse so far. My buddy has the same rifle and has zero problems.

Try chronoing the ammo. If yours is significantly faster something is up and is giving you more pressure.

Typically that would be an over-pressure problem. Have a smith go over your rifle to see if he can diagnose a physical problem.
