I was recently fireforming some new ADG brass in my 26" Rem 700 VS. For fun, I decided to load some 208 AMAX I had sitting around. I seated them .020 off the rifling (3.055) over 40.0 grains of IMR 4320. I normally weigh my charges. This time, I threw them from my Redding powder measure. This is a pretty sedate load, with a muzzle velocity around 2400. It doesn't seem like the 208's need to be pushed hard to perform. I was amazed at how consistent and predictable they were. Waterlined a target @ 700 meters in strong winds. Zeroed at 500 meters. Between 200 and 700 meters, correction was one mil/100 meters, up or down, from 500. I could pretty much pick a spot and hit it. There is room to work up to 2500 fps or so, if desired. I was shooting at an elevation around 3300 ft asl. Temps were in the low 90's with 30+ mph winds quartering from 5 o'clock. 40.0 IMR 4320 Fed 210 ADG brass (56.1 fired capacity, identical to LC and Winchester in my rifle) 3.055 OAL Not chronoed, estimated 2400ish mv from a 26" barrel
