Reloder 26

Yep, already on a 3" drop to get a little extra settle. I get no crunch when seating, but I can feel it compress. I'd say I could go a grain higher for testing. If I was going to get pressure at my current level, it would've been on the last testing day. 90+ with over 60% humidity, yeah it was hot. I also get a bit of a pressure drop because the diamond line are moly coated from the factory. I can't say why I want 3000, but that's where I'd like to be. It'd be a nice flat shooter at 3000fps.

I got out and tested with some rl-26 in my creedmoor today. Started at 46 and went to 47 just for today. 46 yielded an average of 2848, 46.5 was 2860, 47 was 2875. All groups were sub .5 moa. This is out of my 26in criterion with the 140 eld

Regarding the 7mm Rem Mag, Hornady has no data for RL26 and 162 ELDX, and Nosler has no data for RL26 and 160 NAB (I called). I hear RL26 is the bee's knees in the 7mm Rem Mag. Anyone have experience with it and the 162 ELDX/160 NAB? I'm shooting a stainless T3, I'd like to get 3080 fps without stressing my Remington brass. I use WLRM primers.

That shouldn't be too hard unless you have a slower or short barrel, I am shooting 180 Berger VLD's at 3015 in a 26" remington 700 long range, on the 3rd firing and all seems well. Using hornady brass cci LR mag primers with the bullet seated .035" off

Also after reviewing my data, I'm using 67.8 grains to get 3015 with the 180. I worked up to 69 grains, and was going 3070 fps, but that was a little hot and leaving partial ejector marks on the case head. Also, these were don't when temps were in the 80's. Hopefully that gives you a starting point

I worked up to 70.5 with the 162 eld-m and I was getting 3152 in my 26in barrel. I backed off to 69.5 which gave me my best node and that velocity is about 3085. I was slightly hot at 70.5 as I was getting slight ejector marks probably every 3rd one I fired.

IMG_0219.JPG RL-26 is magic. In my 20" 6.5 CM it shoots about 75-100 fps faster than H4350 and holds 1/4 minute. Over 2900 fps in my 300 WSM with 200 grain ELD-X bullets in a 24" barrel, and 3060 on a mild load in my 7mm RM with 162 SST's. I'm thinking about trying it in my 7WSM but H1000 shoots so good I don't want to start over.

It really is crazy. I got 3170 fps with a 140 vld and max load in a .260 Ackley, when I built this rifle I was going to be happy with anything over 2950. I got the 147 eldm up to 3140, it is pretty incredible. My load I shoot not is a 140 at 3090, which is 2 grains under my max, and shoots 1/4" groups and holds 1/2 MOA or better way out there.

My Sako A7 in 7mm Rem Mag has a 24.5" barrel.
How many grains of powder do yall recommend starting out with if I'm looking to shoot a 168gr Accubond Long Range bullet @ 3,000 fps? Using Hornady brass, by the way.
Also, where can you guys find RL-26 at?

I had that same rifle and got
2930 with N560. I have found rl26 to be just a touch faster than h1000. Like .5 grains different for same pressure. I would look at nosler reloading data and see where they have h1000 listed and start a little in there middle charge and see what your velocity is. I will get slack from some people, but that's what I would do. I was max at 65 with h1000 in my 6.5 wsm. And 65.7 with rl26. If you have a Berger book I would like at there 168 Berger. It's a different bullet but they have more info in there's. I can't imagine it being to far off.

Ran up to 49 grains in my 6.5 Creedmoor tonight and retested my 48 grain load that shot so well.
48 grains- 2945 fps .339 5 shots

49 grains-3014 .331 3 shots

49 grains is about all I'm getting in as it's halfway up the neck. Still no pressure hit as far as sticky bolt and ejector marks.20170804_192011.jpg 20170804_192006.jpg
