My 338 lapua should be in soon
I have 8lb jug of r-33 I could not find retumbo or h1000 anyhwere I do have 1lb of h1000

So please just post if you have experience with reloader 33
I have 300gr nosler custom comp bullets and 100pc of lapua brass and cci250 mag primers custom rifle stiller action spencer/MPA barrel 26"

Any one have any loads or having luck with this powder? will be shooting out to a mile and testing loads at 300-500yards

I started with 98 grs of R-33 and worked up to 101 grs. on my 338 edge. 2930 fps . Very slight ejector mark on Bertram brass no mark at all on Remington brass. I seated the 300gr berger OTM .005 of the lands.

With an edge? How much more powder do they typically hold or usd

IN MY Savage 26" barrel LRH in 338 Lapua Magnum I load 250 gr Lapua Scenar's and RE 33 - 100.2 gr RE 33, Tulammo LRM primer, Lapua Brass, for 2968 fps. groups are good at 600 yrds

The Edge that I saw has a powder capacity similar to my 338 LM Improved (in my case its 121.4 gr.; 30" tube). My 338 LM Improved uses 104.5 gr. RL-33 to push a 300 gr. Lapua SC @3,022+/-.

An Edge is about 116-116.5grs in Rem brass and 3-4 grs less in Bertram. A Lapua is about 114grs in Lapua brass. Just reduce Edge data a grain or so more to start. In my Edge with a 30" barrel I shoot 99grs of R-33 in Bertram brass with 300gr SMK's for 2990fps. It's a pretty hot load but it is stupidly accurate.
