Reloader 26 in 6.5 creedmoor

I went out to pressure test 4831sc w/ 143 eldx, lapua brass, cci450s. Oal was 2.89.

I made it to 46.6gr and had a ejector mark show. The primer looks the same as the 44gr charge. And it cycled and ejected fine. Might be getting into a bit of pressure here but this is a brand new savage with custom barrel. These were the first shots i fired through it. I had no ignition problems at all with any of these either.

I shot all these through my chrono and on the last 2 shots i "accidentally" put them through the *** chronograph. They all registered as errors. Looks like it time to upgrade my 12yr old unit haha.

If rl26 doesnt have ignition problems ill be excited to try it

Theses r all shot with 140gr Berger vld's.... all of these were charged with h4350. Didn't want to post these just yet because my chrono quit working. Going to buy a labradar and call it a day. On the high end of the load 4350 shines! When the chrono quit there was no need to shoot the loads of rl26. Shot my pet load and it was business as usual.... We went to the long range called fouled Bore and I had a load I hadn't tested 142gr SMK, THIS BULLET shot the best out of any tested to date from my setup. Here is the 5 shot group.

Peterson brass is all that they claim it is!!! I Peterson srp and Starline lrp, top set is Peterson and the bottom is Starline... On the first row groups 1 and 3 the shot on the top left(1) and to the right of 3 were shot with my scope still set for 1275yards, user error. I had another aiming point below the target that I was shooting to warm the barrel.

Thanks for sharing! I've also heard many great things with Peterson brass, I just might have to give them a shot.

Quick question for you, since you're playing with RL-26 in 6.5 CM, have you done any load workup for the 147 ELD-M?

Naked and virgin brass 45.5 seems to work for many chambers. I have been using 215's instead of 210's with 10 shot es under 10fps for acouple nodes. 2700 2850 and 2920. I really like what my rifle does at 2855. Shoots very small es of 6with ws2 coated 147's@ 2.825coal.

I finally got to the range to shoot my 140 RDF and 147 ELD-m loads. I forgot my chronograph so I have no velocity data. Shot from 46 - 48 gr in .5gr jumps. Nosler brass and WLR primer and bullets .03 jump. I first shot the RDF with no luck in accuracy. All groups shot over 1". No pressure signs till 48 gr, At 48 gr I thought the bolt may have been slightly stiffer than normal. Next the 147 ELD-M. Again no luck with accuracy. All groups shot over 1". Hit pressure at 47 gr. Slightly stiff bolt. At 47.5 gr the bolt was noticeably stiffer and I ended it at that. Never shot the 48 gr load. Not giving up yet. Plenty more fiddling to go.
