Redfield 6x24 ?

I have a redfield 6x24 mounted on a 22/250 that is sighted in at 200 yds. The scope has the target turrets on it. If I pull up on the top turret the engraved markings will move up and turn freely. Can I use this to set the zero marking over the index mark and still have the rifle sighted in.

No, they look like the ones on a leupold 8x32 target scope. The caps or covers for the turrets are a inch high.
