Redding Body Die?

I have a 25 saum would I be able to use a 7mm saum redding body die?

As long as it's just a necked down 7saum.

I don't know. Downsizsing 3cals extended shoulder length, likely beyond contact with the die. That is, shoulder area near the new neck-shoulder junction would not be under die control. This much will expand with both firing and body sizing, and then how will you bump it back?

Yes it is just a 7saum necked down. Yeah Mike that is the concern I had about it also. The difference in .284 to .257 and if the shoulder would be pushed back enough. Thanks

You can try what you have & if nothing else look into a custom body die. They're reasonably priced from JLC Precision. Send Jim a few fully fire formed cases.

I've been using a 270 Win full length die for my 25/06 to sub for a body die. Everything seem ok, but seems is a big word. Do you think this is a good idea. I'm not sure if all the shoulder angles are ok.

The 270Win has a longer neck than 25-06. Does not seem a good idea to substitute these, as a FL die is not a body die.
