About ten years ago me and a friend where wondering how a bullet would preform. Couldn't afford gel blocks. So we made a block of wood with 1/2" foam spacers. Fired a known bullet that we had taken deer and hogs with. Then fired the unknown one. And compared the difference. Since then I've done different bullets by caliber and compared different cartridges. Rifle as well as hand guns. My friends always ask if I've tried certain rounds or bullets. Old cartridges vs new. 45 vs 9. Thought I would share one. Egnore the two mistakes in the lower left. This is at 100 Yds. I had hoped to recover more of the bullets. Only three where found. I can only post 5 of the pics. But you can get an idea. The back side of the boards are impressive to see the blow out. this is the block and board 1, 4, 6 and 10.
