I'm looking to mount a night vision scope on my AR for some coyotes, fox, coons, and opossum.

Under $1000
I need to at least get out to 200 yards.
Doesn't really matter what generation.

Have you tried www.night-optics.com ?? Under 1k is usually first generation stuff and it would be a stretch at 200. Save your "doe ray me" and try to get the "Third" generation equipment. Look at the ATN/PS 22 scope attachment 3g. It is good to 600 yards at night and won't screw up the dope on your scope. If you are looking at goggles you might try looking at the ATN/PVS 7. They are very expensive but will keep you in the "hunt". Do not use anything other than "Passsive Light" systems. As soon as you turn on any thermal (IR) you just gave away your position to any one wearing first gen. equipment. And then it's "Bang" you are dead.
