Recommendation for auto powder measure

My opinion; if the Ohaus, RCBS and other mfg's beam scales are so accurate, why aren't labs still using them? I calibrate and adjust 100's of analytical and scientific digital balances every month and not one of those labs has a analog beam scale in it.
Verifying a digital scale with a balance beam is like shooting a Sendero with iron sights!

Maybe cause labs have lots of different people using the same scale? I used a beam for years. Bought a Gem Pro cause somebody said it was better. I did not find it so, and went back to the old school beam. Critical eye was mentioned earlier. I got one of those. Seems like everything has a trade off, and the beam scale is no different. I stand in the same spot same posture same angle, seems pretty consistent. I just don't trust electronic stuff. My opinion.

Thanks, Johnny
What is your end goal(desired affect) with your electronic scale backing up your electronic scale?
My reason for backing up my electronic scale with a beam and a critical eye is to get consistent enough reloads to shrink groups enough to use at 1000yds and beyond, which I usually do, weekly. I develop loads at 100yds and move out from there.

I guess I see your point, maybe your method could reduce my group size's with my "iron sites" but I'm probably not a good enough shot to take advantage of the technology.

^^^^
I believe all of those groups have been shot in the last couple months, not a lifelong collection.
If you could send me your more expensive scale, I'd be glad to try it and see if I can get my shooting into the modern era and report back.
Heck, if it improves my iron site shooting, I may need it.
To sweeten the deal, I'll send you my O'haus 5-10 as collateral.

Instead of the electronic stuff, mainly the auto feed part, couldn't I just use one of those powder throwers to throw a metered charge a grain or 2 shy and trickle the rest on an RCBS 5-10 beam scale? Almost seems like it accomplishes the same task with a bit less reliance on electronics

Absolutely---

if ya use iron sites:D

I'm moving out of a cramped apartment soon and that means I will be able to reload again. Decided it was time to buy an auto powder measure like an RCBS ChargeMaster or a Hornady Auto-Charge. Looking to see what everyone recommends and what to stay away from.
I'm really liking my chargemaster. It's a little slow but very consistent. I just seat bullets while it refills.
