It's a shooter the '06 is but the above .308 truly amazes me with it's accuracy for a hunting rifle! I couldn't get another VS Model in Rem 700 LH so I bought Rem DPS in LH... since it had the same barrel contour as the older VS! I tore it out of the factory stock and dropped it into the VS stock (which has aluminum bedding block) as shown above after bedding it! I've shot six different groups with this rifle from 600 yards and on five groups I could cover all five shots with the knuckles of my fist and one with the flat of my palm! Consistent ain't the word for it!!
