I keep a couple of the oven rechargable desiccant containers in my gun safe. I pulled them on the 1st but never got around to recharging them. During that time, humidity level in my safe dropped from 47% to 41% with just a golden rod while indoor humidity stayed around 50%.
Is it possible that the desiccant is actually absorbing moisture from outside the safe?
