I've been throwing around the idea of getting a fast twist 22-250 barrel for my savage. Seems without going really custom make it's hard to get one. Then, I thought, why not try to get a good take off 223 varmint barrel with a 1-9 twist and just get the chamber recut? anyone run a 1-9 22-250? will the 22-250 chamber clean out the original 223 or will there need to be a setback? I'd like to run at least 69gr MK, maybe the heavier bergers if they'll stabilize at that twist and 22-250 speeds.
