I have a 280 AI M700 action blueprinted, Tubb Recoil Lug, Hart #5 fluted 24" pillar bedded in a Remington LSS stock.

I am getting 3019 fps with the 160 gr AB and 3240 fps with the 140 gr AB.
160 gr AB and RL 22, Nosler case and Federal GM215M primer.

#3, 26" is good.

Twist rate....9

On second thought....#3 might be a bit skinny. That would depend on the manufacturer as each of them 'gauges' them differently.

My Hart #4 douglas taper is .675 at the muzzle. That's about as skinny as I like.
