Rebarrel Remington 700 7mm ultra mag lss to 257 weatherby or 25-06

Since you wore out a 7 MAG barrel you must like the caliber, just put a new barrel on it and continue with a fine caliber. If I were my gun, I would upgrade to a 375 RUM but that is a different story HA.

LSS's are nice. Sell it and buy a rifle in the caliber you really want. Then you won't have to compromise. Seriously a rebarrel has to be in the $500-$600 range, unless you are attached to that rifle it is hard to justify a rebarrel over a swap.

If you are worried about recoil just shoot a lighter bullet in the RUM. I run the 143 grain Hammer at a bit over 3,600 fps and there is almost no recoil from a 10lb gun with brake. It is loud though.
