You lucky duck...We used to get to hammer them here in IL till they opened the season so early. Now our season is opened and closed before they even come through here. Had two good friends that pushed in Stuttgart till marriage got in the way...LOL

Just now cooling down in TX, hopefully the cold front this week pushes them on down. I have not noticed any yet, have not seen a teal.

I’m hoping so too, feels awesome outside finally! Was getting tired of 100 degree days. Where in Texas are you located Kmccord?

Our season opens Saturday. Wish that it would open. I'm afraid the ducks and geese will eat us out before it opens. They are thick in Arkansas.

Well hunted this opening weekend with great success but most importantly it was a fun hunt! A lot of ducks but still making their way down!
Those Sandhills are sure some fine eatin'. Tough to bring down with steel.

Our season in TX opened on Nov. 9th, but I have not seen a lot, hoping the past Cold front kicks them further south, in Northeast TX I did not see any Mallard's on opening day, just Gadwall's and a few Woodie's. I did not head out this past weekend, bypassed Ducks for Deer instead, I may go this coming Saturday morning to give it another try. The new Remington V3 Waterfowl Pro is itching to bust some Ducks, I was only able to bag one Gadwall on opening day...

As a Beaver fan I love whacking ducks. My son and I have hunted much this season. Nothing better than hunting with your child.
