Rattling from a Box Blind

The rut is getting good where I hunt here in Tennessee and I've had some success rattling from my hang in stands but I haven't had much success rattling from my box blind. Is rattling a waste a time from a blind? I try to rattle close to the window so the sounds leaves the box. Anyone else rattle from a blind?

It is going to be muted a lot....can you open the window and rattle outside? It will still really only travel in one direction.

Yep it's a box blind with windows I can open.
