My scope sits really close to the barrel of the gun and this makes it hard to get my eye behind the scope easily.I am shooting the savage 110 pred. model with a 5 x22 nightforce w/55mm lens.Would raising the scope 3/4 inch hurt me in hunting situtions? And how?

IF you have the high NF rings already for the 56mm objective how would you go about increasing scope height?

IF you don't have high rings then higher is would be better but would rings alone solve the problem?

I'd consider doing some playing around with your cheek weld from the prone position and determine, as close as you can, how much more height would be necessary to get the comfortable cheek weld. Then discuss with a good shootin' gunsmith.

Consistent comfortable cheek weld is important to consistent shooting.
