Rail bedded rings and scope setup question

I have the 20 moa base bedded and installed. My question is the front ring and the way it has to sit on the base. This Zeiss V4 has a really short tube and the ring has to sit off the meat of the base a bit. It's 3/4 on the thickest part of the base.

I can't make any other adjustments as the ocular will hit the back of the base or the bell of the objective will not sit down in the rings if I move the ring forward.

Is there a problem with the ring being mounted on the rail like this? If so I'm out of options with this scope.

Yes as Sherm said .And if you really needed some wiggle room you could chamfer either end for clearance on top of rail
