R700 barrel on ebay sold for $630. what am i missing.

I was just on eBay looking for a take off barrel for my dad and every Remington 700 take off 223 barrel is going for a stupid amount of money, like custom barrel money $300 plus. What am I missing?

It's all part of that stupid ban-scare bullcrap... The idiot sheeple are freaking about anything .223/5.56...

I saw that the other day, too. Couldn't believe it, unless I hadn't see it with my own eyes. Last time I checked, you can go buy a 700 SPS Tac in .223 for around $500-600... I sure as hell ain't paying more for a barrel, than I am for a whole gun.
