I wonder if someone with quickload could give me some info on these 2 cartridges using H1000, or Retumbo powder which I have on hand.
I have a 24" barrel., 1:10 twist.
The left one is a 300 Jarrett/308BAER with water capacity of 99.5gr
The right one is 300 Win Mag with water capacity of 88.4gr.
Both measured on my RCBS scale.
Trying to decide which rifle to build for a lite carry rig to be able to shoot elk to 7-800 yards. I have dies for both, so interested in performance differences, so I can run ballistics on them to see which I like, and if it is worth the difference to go to the 300 Jarrett with burning more powder.
Plan on using 210 Berger's.
The COAL length of the 300 WM with the Berger BT seated at the neck/shoulder junction is 3.660
The 300 Jarrett with the Berger seated to fit the magbox I have is 3.800 which buts the Berger BT just below the neck/shoulder junction. So don't know if that will come into play on my choice.
Any help on a spreadsheet showing pressures and velocity with these 2 powders would be greatly appreciated.

Quickload says for the 300WM:

Retumbo
105% fill (compressed load)
79g
2772 f/s
chamber pressure 51344 psi

H1000
103.2% fill
76.4g
2762 f/s
chamber pressure 54570 psi

For the 300 Jarrett/308 Baer I had to do some creative editing since neither cartridge is in the database for QL. I used the full length case of the 300 H&H and your case capacity figure. As for the chamber pressure limits I used the 300 H&H limits so both are loaded to the same chamber pressure. The max pressure for the 300WM is 62366 psi.

308 Baer:

Retumbo
102.4%
85.9g
2853 f/s
chamber pressure 54570

H1000
99.3%
82g
2801 f/s
chamber pressure 54570
