Quick question, root cause of 2 + 1 groups?

That brings me to another thought. The action is heating up and changing the torque on the front bolt. My guess is the torque is less.

I don't know enough to know what's going on or understand it.
I have a couple of Tikkas that shoot better than me after being re-barreled.
The question you pose might just be a phenomenon that is novice never fully grasp

I've shot similar myself and also shot clovers on a good day.

I reload, hunt and dabble in target shooting at a local level.

Either way your rifle is shooting just fine for hunting

If you gotta have a specific torque on action screws you better bed or rebed the action.
I suspect if you take that load out to 500 yards you will find that little flyer will be alot worse.

There was an article years ago about the research of this phenomena and if I remember it has to do with gases leaving and re-entering the barrel.

It wasn't my idea, I simply copied it from several I have seen, most notably my friends had this version.
Darryle,
I don't recognize that device. Would you mind elaborating on it? I am currently using the magneto speed riflekuhl and although it works and is nice and compact, it takes longer than I like
thanks,
Jim
