Trying to stay safe and find a starting point in my 33 Nos with N-570. Anyone help me out??
Here are the Gun specs.

Cartridge : .33 Nosler
Bullet : .338, 250, Berger Elite Hunt G7 #33554
Useable Case Capaci: 84.525 grain H2O = 5.488 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.533 inch = 89.74 mm
Barrel Length : 26.0 inch = 660.4 mm
Powder : Vihtavouri N-570.

Thanks ...

Surprisingly, Viht N570 is way down the list with regard to velocity so you may want to try a different powder. QL shows RL26 and Viht N560 as 200 FPS faster than N570. Viht N570 is a pretty bulky powder and I think there just isn't enough case capacity in the 33 Nosler for it and you can't stuff enough N570 in there to make it perform with the faster powders like RL26 or N560.

Certainly doesn't mean it won't shoot well with N570, it'll just most likely be slow.

Yup I tried R 26 but it isn't as temp stable as people say.. Dropped elevation and locked my bolt up with it.. I guess I will have to give N-560 a try if I can find any.. I have some N-570 so I would like a starting point if anyone can give me one. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions.. I will try and find some N-560 closer to home.. I live in New Mexico a long ways from WA. Thanks for the offer Rhovee.

Actually N550 or H4831SC look the best and both are available. N550-at the 1.329 node and predicted pressure of 58700 PSI is 71.7g w/ predicted MV at 2750. I would start at 68g and work up from there.
Rhett

Thanks Rhett, I have used H 4831sc and it by far has been the best for temp stability.. Was just hoping to squeeze a little more velocity out of a load without sacrificing temp stability.

I've found 7828SSC and 250 elite hunters. Give the best groups in mine. Running 76.5gns with a COAL of 3.567. I know it's not temp stable but it's a powder that just works in the 33 for me. I haven't been able to Chrono the load as my ol chrono bit the dust and still haven't bit the bullet on the labradar I want. But should be running 2800+

Thanks but, I really need the temp stability as this is my Elk hammer.. 3500 to 10000 ft in elevation is typical on any given day.. Thanks though.
