Question about single shot followers

Wasn't sure where to post the question so thought I would try it here..

Is there a certain direction in which this thing is to be installed...

I know which way goes upJust not sure which end is to go
toward the chamber..With mine in for 223 cal the shell will
catch when you go to chamber a round..This is short action.

The fred sled for center feed is self explanatory, So are we talking about the score high for staggered feed? Just curious now as I have considered one for the only staggered action I have, but have not heard a real review. If you get this resolved, do not or are using a different one.....I would sure love to know what you think and how it works out.

this is the one I have and I put it in like the picture shows..But the shell still catch's when I try to close the bolt..It is like the rear is too high or the front is too low..Any ideas?
I was thinking about building the frount up just a tad with some epoxy or whatever.
