I have the opportunity to pick up the Vortex scope listed above, new shape just refurbished from vortex for $550, scope looks mint. Always owned Leupold and still like them, but for the price seems pretty nice, I'm planning on going back tonight to compare to other scopes at dusk. I want to put this on my first 6.5 Creedmoor build and shoot out to 1000yds and past (target & comp). what are your thoughts on this scope for that, as always, any and all opinions are welcome!

I walked away from that exact one, same price at Cabela's to think about it overnight. Gone when I came back. Where's this one?:D

First, not a bad price for refurbished, especially warrantied. Second, what type of target and competition are you speaking of?

Dgd6mm, Would like to get into maybe 1000yrd F-class and steel out further!

Well just got back form picking up the Vortex PST-624-ffp-a, was $659 and after cabelas points walked out costing $540! Compaired it to a Leupold VX-6 3-18 looking out to about 1200yrds, (which is what I have on my Cooper 7mm and love it), at the same magnafication I honestly thought the Leupold had a slight edge in glass, but not another $600 worth and neither did my awesome wife who allowed me to buy it! I did call Vortex and the tech said yes to the forever warranty!

HARPERC, the Cabelas in Billings, MT. has 2 more ffp's and 1 sfp along with quite a few others that are discounted!

Post Falls is about the end of my range. They haven't had many recent refurbished, when I've been there.

Good scope-Let us hear how it works out!
