Proven load for savage axis .308 with 150gn Sierra soft points?

I'm loading for my brother in law, he got a new rifle a couple months ago and cant find any ammo. He wants (and I have ordered) 150 gn Sierra soft points to load for him and was wondering if anyone ran the same gun and bullet? He's not going to shoot enough to workup a load so I need a good place to start. Max range is 300yds and looking for Minute of Deer accuracy.
