Problems with the 6.5 140 and 142\'s on critters

Has anyone else had problems with the Sierra matchkings in 6.5 (140's and 142's) on critters? We used a 6.5 x 284 Norma on a few deer this crop damage year and it didn't seem to perform very well, I suspect the bullets.

I shot two deer with my 6.5-284 I was shooting SMK 142. It seemed like the bullets were not expanding. The two shots were between 150 200 yards.
I'm going to try Noslers BT next season.
The 220 SMK's work great on deer out of my 300 Ackley.

Never tried them on deer but used them on woodchucks from my 6.5-284 and it pinholed them every time. No expansion at all.

Try the 140gr. Hornady A-Max. Used it on a button buck that weighed about 120 live at 300 lazered yards with my 6.5-284.Dropped the deer on the spot with an exit would of about 4 inches. Was wanting to try it farther ,but was only shot that presented itself.Oh well, there's always coyotes to try.

I suggest you try the 140 gr SST. I've taken 2 bucks and 2 hogs with it. Expansion, penetration and accuracy were excellent. Jim
