Private, members only, club and OSHA

Our Club was sued a while back for noise pollution. Don't think OSHA was involved, but a couple of Lawyers made a chunk. We won, simply because we had been there longer, but we also live in a very conservative State. We aren't safe anywhere. Beware.

Yes is the answer. Depending on the state you could have state osha too.

Plus the club is opening itself to liability if a member is injured.

What is the rule you want to ignore?

I'm not wondering about ignoring any specific rule. However, if member only shooting ranges are required to meet OSHA standards then they would have to have a place for their members to change out of the lead contaminated clothing and provide showers so they could decontaminate before heading home. ( as an example of a couple OSHA regs )

If your club has any employees, not including owners, officers, members volunteering you get the pleasure of OSHA.

Owners and officers are included in those that have to follow osha regulations. The only exception is in a sole proprietor type of business, at least that's how it is in Utah.
