Primer’s for .243

I bought large rifle primers for my.243 prior to receiving the gun with the thinking that those were what was needed only to find out that the rem 9 1/2m is called for. What if anything would I be losing using the large rifle primers. I do have some fed 215's and some Winchester mag primers but was hoping to hang onto them due to the shortage of primers. I bought 2,000 of the large rifle with nothing else to use them in. Thank you

no need for magnum primers in a 243 standard large rifle will be fine. the nosler book is just what they tested with, other books will show different primers. work up loads with what you have

Reloading books are guidelines. Not true recipes for YOUR gun. You must do your own development.

I don't consider the 9 1/2M a magnum primer, not even close to a Cci 250 which is not as strong as a 215 much less a Win Mag primer. So, you should be very well with the 9 1/2M in the 243. If you try R#26 in the 243 with 100g, the 215's is what I would try first.

Is there a reliable and accurate list of primers (make/model) that shows which primers are hotter/stronger?

Hottest to coldest goes:
Winchester (all types)
Federal (all types)
CCI (all types but the military equivalents)
Remington are the coldest across the board.
