Got some smith bills coming, so I need to thin the herd a bit. I purchased this rifle used here a couple years ago and have literally put about 20 rounds through it. I got bit by the PRS bug and have not had time to even do proper load development for it. This rifle was built by Arnold Erhardt in Montana. Below are the features:
* Remington 700 left hand action with jeweled bolt (very smooth) w/removable threaded bolt knob
* Remington 40X trigger that has been worked for a 2lb pull
* Weaver 20MOA scope rail (has been trimmed to allow easy ammo loading/extraction)
* HS Precision Stock that has been pillar bedded (see pics)
* Karstan Cheek Piece
* Hinged BDL floorplate metal
* Stainless bead blasted fluted barrel (previous owner unsure of barrel make, but from measurements, it appears to be similar to Benchmark #6 – 1:9 twist 25" to recoil lug)
* Recessed target crown
* Less than 450 rounds fired
* Weighs right at 8# without scope/rings
This would make an awesome lightweight hunting rifle, I had considered putting a magpul bottom metal on it, but never got around to it. If buyer is interested, I will include the bottom metal, 1 5rd mag, and 2 10 round mags for an extra $125. Scope and rings pictured are not included in rifle price but could be made available for additional cost. Scope is a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44 (VHS-4305) in Leupold Mark 4 Rings. Asking $750 shipped for rifle, $875 for rifle w/magpul products (inletting will be required). Scope and rings are available for an additional $400.
