Got some smith bills coming, so I need to thin the herd a bit. I purchased this rifle used about 3 years ago. It had previously been melonited and had a hart barrel installed. I was unsure of round count and decided to send it to Robert Snyder of RWS gunsmithing to look it over and upgrade. There he determined the action finish (melonite) was too hard to do any additional truing, so he installed a brand new PTG 1-piece fluted bolt and it was lapped to the action. Also installed was a Bartelin cut rifled, #3b contour barrel finished at 24". The barreled action was cerakoted graphite black and reinstalled into the bedded stock. I shot 20 rounds of old factory 180gr Winchesters to break in/clean barrel. The bartlein was throated for the heavier berger's as a long-range hunting rig, but I got bit by the PRS bug and have not had time to do proper load development for it. The barreled action is like new.
* Remington 700 left hand action with PTG 1-piece fluted bolt
* Timney 510 wide shoe trigger set at 2.5# currently
* 20MOA Seekins scope base
* Manners MCS-T Stock (bedded) – has some scuffs and rear swivel stud was expoxied in place from previous owner (see pic)
* Hinged BDL floorplate metal
* 24" Bartlein #3b barrel, threaded 9/16-24 with 20 rounds through it
* Suppressed Armament System Tomb Muzzle brake currently installed (Have APA Micro-Bastard available if preferred as well)
Scope and rings are not included in rifle price, but can be added if desired. Rifle currently has a Vortex Viper HST 4-16x44 with Vortex Precision Matched Rings. Asking $1675 shipped.
