Premium Brass Fire-forming Restrictions

Been looking at better brass for some of my cartridges and I noticed Peterson Brass expressly states not to fire-form with it. Anyone have any insight as to the reason or is it just a liability statement? ADG and Lapua make no such claims that I have seen.

It's just a liability statement. People like to blame everything but themselves or their techniques for failures. I've seen plenty of people necking Peterson brass up or down and fireforming it.

I saw the same warning and sent them an email asking about it. Reply was that it was lawyer-required. No problem fire forming. I made some new 6.5-06 AI and it worked great. Did note that the Peterson has slightly less volume than Lapua. Got same velocity with slightly less powder!

All brass that is fired, is therefore fire formed.
They should get lawyers who understand anything about guns
