I inherited a pre-64 Win Mod 70 that was rebarreled from 25-06 to .257 Roberts sometime long ago by my grandfather. My question is around shooting and loading +P loads in this rifle? I know that I shouldn't if it was originally barreled in .257 Rob, but since this was originally a long action rifle (which, by the way, offers a lot of options for seating depth), can I safely use +P loads in this rifle?

Thanks. Its was one of my grandfather's favorites, too. I've found a lot of his load data on the boxes he reloaded, but all of the new manuals only include the +P loads.

I can also tell he liked having the long action magazine box. Some of his loads are a bit long.
