Power Pro 2000LR Powder/308

I just received a new Alliant Powder Manual in the mail. we all know that RL17 has done very well
in the 308 & others. I noticed that Power Pro 2000LR has even higher recorded vel. with 165 & 180gr. loads in the 308 & very strong in the 300WM as well. Anyone played with this powder?

I hadn't heard of this one but just got on line and noticed a 3000 LR and a 2000 MR?..... Which one did you mean or is there another? Thanks/Rich

Acording to Alliants book for 30 cal. PowerPro 2000lr is for 308 win and 300saum,300wsm
The power pro4000mr is for the 300win mag,and the 300ultra mag.
they also list a power pro3000lr but could not find much data on it other than for large riflewith light weight loads.

Robster, you are right, MR in the 300WM.

The Power Pro 2000LR looks very good in 308, for example with max loads:
165gr , 2,739fps with RL17 & hottest LR load shows 2,910fps
180 gr , 2,641fps with RL17 & hottest LR load shows 2,760fps, pretty good diff. I thought.

I ordered the 2000 from a local gun store and his supplier said beings it is new and just out it may take a few months to get. But when I get it I will shoot it over a cronograph and let you know.

Acording to Alliant power pro 2000 is faster than Re15 but slower than Re17 and power pro 4000 is inbetween Re22 and Re 25.
